Overview

In cooperation with EUCLID (an intergovernmental treaty-based organization with university mandate), EUCLID offers to select students from the general public an external (distance or online) degree program called the EULER Online Bachelor in International Relations and Global Affairs (BSc).

It is the only online bachelor's program in international relations organized by an intergovernmental institution whose programs are officially used by active diplomats over 4 continents, many of whom have reached high governance levels (ambassador, minister).

This program is an comprehensive undergrade study plan for future diplomats, civil servants and academic leaders (professors, deans) as well as global leaders (NGO leaders, senior civil servants), uniquely delivered in partnership with a treaty-based and treaty-practicing institution.

Academic Presentation

EULER's Bachelor's in International Relations and Global Affairs represents 120 US credits (240 ECTS) of coursework beyond a high school degree (in application of international standards for recognized bachelor's).

The program curriculum includes a strong foundation in economics and global development to prepare for possible admission to MBA programs (including EUCLID's MBA in Sustainable Development and Diplomacy) or economics-related graduate programs.

It is also possible to enter with this program with an Associate's Degree (AA), in which case the BSc will represent 120 supplemental ECTS.

A major goal of this program is to prepare and qualify students for further studies (Master's) at EULER or EUCLID or any other institution of higher learning.

Among the suggested areas of focus (portfolio and mini-thesis) are:

  • New global economic and financial architecture
  • ESG and SDGs
  • Regional diplomatic affairs
  • Small Islands / Small States issues
  • Inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations
  • International and treaty law
  • Sustainable development
  • IGOs and non-governmental organizations
  • Nation-specific dissertations
